ACADEMIA
This section of DiscoverTheNetworks examines the politicized atmosphere that has developed at American institutions of higher learning; the leftist campus and professional associations that have been established there; and the key players (professors, administrators, and organizational leaders) who shape the ideological agendas of those institutions and associations...

48 Liberal Lies About American History (That You Probably Learned in School)
Do you know which images are used more often than any other to represent 20th century America in modern textbooks? If you guessed the moon landing, or John Kennedy, or Ronald Reagan, or even the civil rights marches -- go to the back of the class. The correct answer is: the Ku Klux Klan.
Among the 48 myths Larry Schweikart debunks:
-Mikhail Gorbachev, not Ronald Reagan, was responsible for ending the Cold War
-The Founders envisioned a 'wall of separation between Church and State,' to keep religious influence out of government
-The Mexican and Spanish-American Wars were imperialist efforts drummed up by 'corporate interests'
-John F. Kennedy was killed by LBJ and a secret team to prevent him from getting us out of Vietnam
-Richard Nixon expanded the Vietnam War
-The 'Peace Movement' activists were not dupes of the KGB
-Ronald Reagan knew 'Star Wars' wouldn't work, but wanted to provoke a war with the USSR
-September 11 was not the work of terrorists -- it was a government conspiracy
-No terrorists, al-Qaeda leaders, or weapons of mass destruction were hiding in Iraq
-Women had no rights in early America
-Restrictions on the right to vote were meant to keep voter participation low
-Sacco and Vanzetti were innocent -- and wrongly executed
-Sen. Joseph McCarthy concocted the 'Red Scare,' and there was nothing to fear from Communist subversives
-The Rosenbergs were not spies, and were wrongfully executed
-Lee Harvey Osward shot JFK because he was a deranged maniac -- not because he was a Communist
-Columbus was responsible for killing millions of Indians
-The early colonies were intolerant and racist
-Early America was home to few guns or gun owners
-Abraham Lincoln only freed the slaves to beef up his troop strength
-The Scopes Trial proved Darwin was correct -- and that Christians were backward
-The 1950s were dull and boring and created a generation of conformists in the workplace and home
-Richard Nixon sent burglars into the Watergate office complex
-Neither Ronald Reagan's election nor the 'Contract with America' proved the triumph of conservative ideas
-Bill Clinton was impeached over sex
-George W. Bush was 'selected, not elected' in 2000, and votes were stolen on his behalf
-Muslim terrorists are poor and uneducated and hate us because we support Israel
-The news media is objective, fair and balanced -- and always has been
-Native Americans were great environmentalists -- while white settlers destroyed the buffalo
-The first Thanksgiving took place because the Indians saved the Puritans from their own ineptitude
-The 'Robber Barons' pillaged the land and destroyed the environment
-Federal regulators have protected the public's health by identifying harmful products
-Global warming is a fact -- and it's a man-made, American- driven problem
-The Constitution was the creation of powerful elites protecting their financial interests
-The Sherman Anti-Trust Act protected the 'little guy' and reigned in abuses by 'Big Business'
-The transcontinental railroads would never have been built without government
-The 'Robber Barons' were only assuaging their guilt with their philanthropy
-The income tax was created to make the rich pay their fair share, and tax cuts only benefit upper income Americans
-Business failures and tax cuts combined to cause the Great Depression
-LBJ's Great Society had a positive impact on the poor
-The decline of the American auto and steel industries was caused by insufficient government support for them
-The Reagan tax cuts caused massive deficits and national debt
-History textbooks used in schools are unbiased and not politically correct

How many of you were taught any of this in school, particularly those of you who were political science majors in college?
Jonah Goldberg
My guess is that we won't be hearing Jonah Goldberg guest speaking at too many Universities regarding Liberal Fascism.
Most of us taught about Nazi Genocide in school.
How many of us were taught that the Nazi Party was the
NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS' PARTY (NSDP)?
- Universal Healthcare
- National Education System
- National Nutrition Mandates
- Equal Employment
- Wealth Distribution
- Nationalization of Industry and Corporations
- Abolition of Profit Without Work
- Abolition of Land Ownership
- Rent Control
- Environmentalism
- Animal Protection
- Restricting Public Religious Expression
- Gun Control
I wonder how many Universities in the U.S. use this book as part of
their Political Science curriculum.
Check out Goethe International Charter School's (GICS) CURRICULUM.
They use the Marxist International Baccalaureate program
designed to foster the development of the whole child (ages 3-12), encompassing social, physical, emotional and cultural needs in addition to academic development.
This international indoctrination system, stationed at the International Baccalaureate Organization, is being infused into academia all across the U.S:
The fifth element, knowledge, is considered to be a holistic understanding of ideas, not mereley the acquisition of facts and skills.
The knowledge component is developed through inquiries into six themes of global significance: 'Who we are', 'Where we are in place and time', 'How we express ourselves', 'How the world works', 'How we organize ourselves' and 'Sharing the planet'. That means that subjects are not separated and taught as individual, isolated topics. Each theme works particularly well with one or two subject areas, however, the themes are also transdisciplinary, meaning they go beyond any of the subject areas. The purpose of the themes is to encourage student to think broadly and deeply.
TheY use a bilingual approach to teaching.
Bilingualism promotes awareness, appreciation, and acceptance of other peoples and cultures.
Really? Tell that to the Sunnis & Shiites, to the Hutus & Tutsis, to the Bloods & Crips, to India & Pakistan, and on and on.
So many lives could have been saved if only Hitler
was taught Hebrew in school!
...it prepares students to participate more fully in the global community.
That's right kids!
Reject your Prejudices: American pride, personal sovereignty, your unalienable rights, your U.S. Constitution, and - most of all - your liberty. We're all just little specs of a mass we like to call the global community. And if you do that, you'll get an A+!
Now don't be late to school - so you can learn more about destroying the fabric of American society with out you having a clue what that means!

Kids Obama Song
Here is Mr. B (the teacher) trying to explain away he indoctrination of these kids on your tax dollars:
On November 4th 2008, we held a mock presidential election in my third grade classroom. Students spoke their minds about the candidates, and I facilitated making sure all sides were heard [no doubt]. Secret ballots were cast, and Barack Obama won getting 18 out of 20 votes. John McCain and Cynthia McKinney split the remainder. Later that night of course history was made.
The students arrived the next day absolutely glowing. We talked about the historical significance of Obama's victory, and they then imagined what it would be like to run for office themselves. Each student made a poster portraying him or herself as candidate and the issues they would address in the year 2048.
Obama's victory opened their minds to the possibility that they too could one day be commander in chief—or anything for that matter. What they needed to do was STAY IN SCHOOL and work very very hard. At no time were the children told by me they should look up to Obama. The fact that most did already reflects what they learned at home and amongst their peers, not by any indoctrination in the classroom.
We began to write the song after watching the Inauguration. Our school day is packed bell to bell with academics, but were usually able to spend the last five minutes of singing songs as short ELD (English Language Development) activities. Day by day we used this tiny window of time to brainstorm lyrics. As the song took shape, the children became more and more proud of their accomplishment. It soon morphed into a tribute to MLK [wonder how that happened?] and others honored for their work towards social justice.
(TEACHING SOCIAL JUSTICE IN THE K-12 CLASSROOM)
By February the song was done. We got requests to come and perform from adjacent classrooms that heard it coming from our room at the end of the day. Their egos boomed. I decided to make it something they'd never forget by producing the video. Nobody forced the children to participate--in fact a few sat it out. When it was finished, they were hoping the President himself would see it and wanted to be able to show it to friends and relatives. We got the consent of parents as well as the administration and put it online.
That's the story. We hope you like the song.
The Obama Song ('Proud American')
By Mr. B and the students of Room 8
February 2009
Obama is the President!
First African America in history
44th president of the United States
The ground has shifted
The world has changed!
CHORUS:
Oooo Im a proud American
Oooo yes yes yes yes YES WE CAN!
I'm going to study really hard just like Barack
Learning never ever stops
Gonna set my goals HIGH and graduate
You might be looking at the President of 2048!
We are a nation of a thousand colors, look at me
Our strength is our diversity
Walking hand in hand we sing
Each a day a little closer to the dream of Dr. King
(Excerpt from MLK's "I Have a Dream, 1963)
Together we walk
Me and you
So so much work
Left to do.

You may remember the militant Obama Youth Video aired on Youtube during the 2008 presidential race.
being cottled by the local NBC News - was the math teacher who directed the students in the video. Yet - Joyce McGautha - as the director of the charter school - was admittedly aware of what was going on in Terrance Vick's class.
Needless to say, McGautha's comments during her interview are as offensive as the video itself. She is a poster-child for all that is wrong with our public education system.
